Plans Announced for Inaugural Ho Chi Minh City International Film Festival in 2024

An opening ceremony will be held on April 6 at Saigon Opera House, followed by an award giving and closing ceremony at Lam Son park in District 1. The festival will take place on Nguyen Hue pedestrian street and will feature a range of activities over the course of eight days. The highlight of the event will be an exhibition on the film industry, workshops on the Vietnamese and global film industries, and short training courses. This festival provides a valuable opportunity for Vietnamese filmmakers to connect and collaborate with international colleagues. Movie enthusiasts will also have the chance to enjoy the best and latest films, and have the opportunity to meet their favorite celebrities. Da Nang Hosts Second Vietnam-RoK Festival

Addressing the ceremony, Tran Chi Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang municipal People’s Committee, emphasized that the annual festival would offer a delightful experience for both locals and tourists. It aims to provide them with a deeper understanding of Korean culture and tourism, promoting mutual understanding between the two countries. The main event of the festival is taking place at Bien Dong Park, featuring a diverse range of cultural activities and artistic performances for guests to enjoy. Throughout the three-day festival, visitors can explore 60 booths that provide information about culture and tourism. These booths also showcase typical products, traditional dishes, and folk games from both Vietnam and the Republic of Korea. 2023 Ho Chi Minh City TV cycling race will span 3,000km

This year’s edition, titled ‘Land, Rivers, and Mountains Create a Strip – Hope for Victory’ is one of Vietnam’s largest cycling tourneys. The race is set to bring together the country’s strongest teams, including Ho Chi Minh-Vinama, Loc Troi Group, Dong Thap Domesco Pharmaceuticals, Military Zone 7, Hanoi, Kenda Dong Nai, and Binh Minh Binh Duong Plastics. The race will start at Hoan Kiem Lake in Hanoi on April 2, stretch to the Mekong Delta province of An Giang, and finish in Ho Chi Minh City on April 30. Among these stages, the fourth is set to span 197.4 kilometers from Vinh City in the north-central province of Nghe An to Dong Hoi City in the north-central province of Quang Binh, making it the longest stage of the tourney. The stages across Gia Lai and Dak Lak’s Buon Ma Thuot City in the Central Highlands region, which boasts much potential for tourism due to various stunning landscapes and unique cultural features, will become the highlight of the race.  A pictur...
