Explore Hanoi’s Rich 129-Year-Old Architecture Now Open to Public

The exhibition Water Installation and Heritage of Hang Dau Water Tower will open on November 17 as part of the Hanoi Creative Design Festival 2023. It is an art space of light installation made of recycled materials and a unique water sound system that reproduces the natural sound of water. The light installation expands the vision of the beautiful enclosures, while the materials, recycled from urban waste, emphasize the impact of the city on the natural environment. Open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., the project was realized by architect Cao The Anh and artist Nguyen Duc Phuong. Through the exhibition, the artists hope to highlight the role of water in life and the connection between man and nature and to make people aware of the importance of preserving the natural environment. This exhibition also aims to allow people to admire the beauty inside an architectural work that has been dormant for decades. Recently, French tiktoker Will Courageux posted three short clips on his channel “Will in Vietnam,” featuring French Ambassador Olivier Brochet exploring Hanoi’s street food.
