Promotion of Vietnamese Food and Culture at Brazilian Bazaar

The bazaar aims to raise funds for four charitable organisations that support the homeless and impoverished women in Brasilia. This year it has received around 3,000 visitors, including many from other South American countries. The Vietnamese Embassy in Brazil sets up two booths displaying the country’s typical cuisine and traditional handicraft products. The event gives Vietnam the chance to promote traditional culture and tourism products to international friends. Local diners have opportunities to taste Vietnamese dishes such as fried spring rolls, banana cakes, coffee and iced tea. At the Vietnamese booth, visitors prefer to choose unique handicraft products created by Vietnamese craftsmen such as embroidered Non La (palm-leaf conical hat), and silk scarves. Lacquered and mother of pearl inlay coconut bowls are also showcased, drawing much attention of foreign visitors. The post Promotion of Vietnamese Food and Culture a...
