The scholars have been supportive of Vietnam during the past two resistance wars and are also actively involved in the country’s current national construction. This meeting took place as part of Prime Minister Chinh’s official visit to China. Exhibition of Photos Highlighting Vietnamese and Laotian World Heritage Sites

The Vietnamese Department of Fine Arts, Photography, and Exhibition and Vietnam Cultural Centre in Laos jointly organised an event that showcased 180 photos, including 160 capturing 26 heritages of Vietnam and four heritages of Laos. These photos featured iconic landmarks such as Hoi An ancient town, My Son sanctuary, Thang Long imperial citadel, Ha Long Bay, Hue court music, the ancient capital of Luang Prabang, Wat Phou world heritage site, Plain of Jars, and Khaen music. The exhibition, which showcased photographs taken by various Vietnamese and Lao photographers, effectively conveyed the current beauty, value, and vitality of these heritages. These images depicted the rich history, culture, ideas, knowledge, customs, beliefs, and aesthetics of both countries. The exhibition is currently open to the public in the capital and will remain so until the end of July. Afterward, it will be moved to other Lao localities. Vietnamese Girl Finishes as Runner-Up at World Youth Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships

An impressive performance was delivered by An, who was the fifth seed with an Elo rating of 1,459. Throughout the tournament, she secured eight wins, two draws, and only suffered one loss in her 11 games. This exceptional record earned her a total of nine points and the silver medal. The event was won by Altynbek Aiaru from Kazakhstan, who scored 10.5 points with an outstanding record of 10 victories out of 11 games. An’s only draw in the tournament occurred in the match against Aiaru. In addition to An’s silver medal, three other Vietnamese chess players also achieved notable results.
