Ba Ria-Vung Tau Launches Initiative for an Exciting Summer Vacation

The program was announced at a press conference held by the provincial Department of Tourism on Monday afternoon.

Trinh Hang, director of the tourism department, told the press briefing that tourism has been the locomotive of the province’s economic growth.

The southern province launched the Summer Impression program last year, making it an annual tourism promotion drive to offer local residents and visitors fun-filled and unforgettable experiences in the summertime, the official said.

This year, the Summer Impression program is scheduled to take place from July 8 to 23 at the Ho Tram Beach area, located in Xuyen Moc District.

During the program, locals and tourists can watch hundreds of kites of various sizes and colors flying over the Ho Tram Beach.

These kites will be flown by kite artisans from home and overseas between July 15 and 16.

Besides, the province will host many other fun water sports activities, such as standup paddle boarding, kayaking, jet skiing, parasailing, surfing, and windsurfing.

Meanwhile, another event entitled ‘Summer Culinary Delights’ is expected to attract a host of foodies, as it will offer a wide selection of tasty and new recipes at 50 food stalls and bars run by premium hotels and restaurants.

The program will also feature street art performances, with the highlight being ‘The Sound of Summer Art Night,’ which will gather famous singers, rappers, and bands.

In addition, Hamptons Pier, the longest pier in Southeast Asia, at the Hamptons Plaza Ho Tram in Xuyen Moc will be decorated to make dazzling light displays.

Through this program, the provincial tourism authority wants to affirm its commitment to maintaining the best practices to develop safe and friendly tourism, Hang said.
